What can I upload
with Seedance 2.5?
Pick the workflow you want. Each route has its own supported inputs; the studio shows the controls for your selected mode.
Animate a photo
The image-to-video route uses your photo as the opening image. Add an end frame when you want to guide the final composition.
Provider input documentation ↗Work from references
The separate reference-to-video route accepts reference images and a source clip. It has its own input rules; start/end frames belong to the photo-animation route.
Provider input documentation ↗Available routes depend on the connected provider and your workspace. Uploading a file or opening a model page never starts a generation.
Build a useful creative test.
These are ways to plan a marketing shot, not promises of ad approval, higher sales or identical results.
A clearer product reveal
Use an approved packshot as the first frame, describe one camera move and keep the product benefit focused.
A short social concept
Choose TikTok, Instagram or YouTube in the studio to prepare a destination format, then write the opening moment.
A connected visual direction
Bring permitted reference media into the compatible reference workflow. Check the result for product and person consistency.
Bring the idea.
Keep the controls simple.
- Choose your destination
Select TikTok, Instagram, YouTube or another destination. The studio prepares the matching composition where your model supports it.
- Add your media and direction
Use a permitted photo, frame pair or source clip for the selected workflow. Tell the model what should move and what must stay consistent.
- Review, create and download
Check the exact model, inputs and server credit quote. Create only when ready, then review your completed asset before publishing.
Know what this workflow can do.
- Photo animation and reference-media generation are separate modes. A single request cannot combine every upload control.
- Reference clip duration, dimensions and file limits are checked before submission. The studio may use stricter upload limits than the provider.
- Permission to use a person, brand or clip is still required. Identity, exact logos and ad approval are not guaranteed.
- Your final quote depends on the actual model, duration, resolution and inputs. Review the full cost before explicit generation; longer projects can require multiple charged clips.
- Use media you have permission to upload. Provider content rules and screening still apply, and completed media needs your review.
Your questions, answered.
Can I upload an image and an existing video?
Use the supported reference-media mode for that combination. For a transition between two still images, choose the start/end-frame mode instead. The studio checks the active route before you create.
Does Seedance make images too?
Seedance is the video family on this page. Create or upload a still image first, then use that result as a video input. Still-image generation has its own model and credit quote.
How many credits does a video cost?
The studio calculates a server quote from the selected model, duration, resolution and inputs. There is no single fixed credit price for every video. Check monthly plans, then review the exact quote before creating.
