How to plan an AI campaign budget before generating

Budget for usable assets, frame preparation and revisions, then use actual model quotes instead of treating every credit as the same purchase.

A creative-production planner allocates a finite set of credit tokens across product stills, video frames and revision slots.

Budget for approved assets, not generated files

Write down what the campaign needs to ship: perhaps three approved product images, two short clips and one assembled video. A generated file is an attempt; an approved asset is something you can actually use. Keep media spend, copywriting, retouching, music licensing and human review separate from the generation budget so the project total remains visible.

Define the acceptance criteria before spending: accurate packaging, readable product details, the right crop and no unsupported claims. Choose a review point after the first small batch. If the direction fails those criteria, change the brief or references before increasing volume. This gives you a stopping rule rather than an open-ended search for a perfect output.

  • List final deliverables, formats and required approvals.
  • Allocate a finite number of image, frame and video attempts.
  • Keep an explicit revision allowance and stop when it is used.

Use quotes for the actual model and settings

Credits are defined by each service, so a larger credit allowance alone does not establish better value. Runway documents tool-specific costs and video rates based on generated seconds. Adobe's credit FAQ also distinguishes consumption by feature and video resolution. Compare the cost of your planned work at the selected settings, not two unrelated providers' headline credit numbers.

AI Campaign Studio shows a server quote for the chosen model and supported settings before an explicit generation. Its Standard, Quality and Premium labels describe pricing groups derived from the request; they are not promises of a particular result. Recheck the quote after changing duration, resolution, references or model. Count a generated opening image, a generated closing image and the video as separate requests. Bundled sample output has no live-generation cost and cannot establish live quality or speed.

Work through a small, labelled example

Imagine a planning sheet with eight image attempts quoted at 12 credits each, four frame-image attempts at 12 each, and four video attempts at 150 each. The subtotal is 744 credits: 96 for images, 48 for frames and 600 for video. A 20% planning allowance is 148.8 credits; rounding that allowance up to 149 gives a target of 893 credits. These are invented example quotes, not current prices, a pack recommendation or an expected approval rate.

Replace every example amount with your live quote before buying. Divide a pack's displayed EUR price by its credit quantity to estimate the purchase cost per credit; account for applicable tax separately. AI Campaign Studio offers one-time EUR credit packs rather than a promised subscription or unlimited generation. Available packs and checkout depend on the deployment and account, so use the current catalogue and secure checkout for the actual terms.

Reconcile the work before funding another round

Keep a simple record of the brief version, generation request, quote, chosen output and reviewer decision. Review available and reserved credits separately: a hold is not another purchase. AI Campaign Studio reserves credits before live submission, spends confirmed completed work and releases definite failures; an uncertain provider outcome can remain under review. If the response was lost, check the existing request instead of starting a second paid attempt.

At the review point, compare generation spend with the number of approved assets and note why attempts were rejected. That is a useful internal production measure, not a claim about ad conversions. After publication, use your own campaign results to decide what to test next. No generation tool can promise a winning ad, and no competitor price comparison is reliable without matching the workflow, deliverables and date.
